Relive the 2024 harvest at El Mariscal vineyard, D.O.Puente Alto
After a rainy winter, a rather cool spring and a summer with moderate temperatures, this year the harvest arrived a week later in the Maipo Valley in general and in the El Mariscal vineyard in particular, starting there on 27 March and lasting until 17 April.
Marcelo Papa, Concha y Toro’s technical director and head winemaker of Marques de Casa Concha Heritage, explains that the wines from this vintage will be remarkably fresh red fruit, juicy, with attractively elegant tannins and persistent on the palate.
“An extremely important stage for us in the vineyard is the point of harvest. We are looking for juicy wines, with lots of fruit precision and balanced tannins. That’s why the harvest point is very important”, is part of what Marcelo says in this vivid video.
