This agricultural engineer with a degree from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile joined the winery in 1998, and the following year, he took on the role of winemaker for Marques de Casa Concha, one of Chile's most renowned brands for over 20 years. He has imparted a unique style, creating a dynamic range with a strong sense of origin, constantly striving to achieve the best expression and character of the grapes from the diverse terroirs that give life to these wines.
Since his early days with the company, Marcelo has had a special connection with Puente Alto, a terroir known for the character and elegance it imparts, particularly to Cabernet Sauvignon.
His tireless spirit of exploration, as well as his passion and enthusiasm for discovering the authenticity and nobility of different origins, have led him to explore the various valleys across Chile in search of the best for each varietal of Marques de Casa Concha, thus producing profound, noble wines.
