D.O Puente Alto

This renowned terroir is located in the foothills of the Andes Mountains and along the banks of the Maipo River. Its privileged characteristics have made it one of the most prestigious Designations of Origin around the world. It is here where the grapes for Marques de Casa Concha Heritage are grown.

The grapes of Marques de Casa Concha Heritage are a meticulous selection from the prestigious El Mariscal and Don Melchor vineyards, both located in the renowned and century-old Denomination of Origin of Puente Alto. A heir representing the second generation of the Great Wines of Puente Alto.

Climate

Its semi-arid Mediterranean climate, strongly influenced by the majestic Andes mountain range, makes this area the coldest part of the Alto Maipo Valley.

Its significant daily temperature fluctuation, around 18°C, is the crucial element for producing high-quality wine as it extends the grape maturation period, concentrating and intensifying its exquisite aromas.

Soil

Its alluvial soils, nutrient-poor and composed of clays, silt, sands, gravels, and rounded stones, ensure excellent permeability, drainage, and low fertility. This favors the concentration and natural ripening of the grape clusters, resulting in powerful wines of great complexity.
